Is Love In The Villa Worth Watching?

What happens if the end of one love story leads to the beginning of a new story? Is this even possible or is heartbreak a setback to rekindling romance in one’s life?

In Mark Steven Johnson’s film Love in the Villa Kat Graham and Tom Harper pair as the lead actors in this mushy romantic comedy and Kat proves that life certainly can move forward despite a heartbreak.

A third-grade teacher (Kat) who is obsessed with “Romeo and Juliet” has planned a lovely getaway to Verona, filled with a complete itinerary of places to visit with her boyfriend- Brandon who sadly dumps her before the trip. Kat nevertheless decides to go ahead to this romantic Italian city where she has booked a villa! However, when she arrives at the romantic villa, she only finds out that it has been double-booked and she has to share the villa with a wine importer, Charlie Fletcher (Tom Hopper).

What starts as an initial rivalry and hatred war between the two, where the two try to make each other’s lives, a living hell ultimately ends in the two ultimately falling in love. Although the couple seems to be an odd mismatch for each other, there has to be credit for their acting skills.

While there is nothing extraordinary about this film, it can easily be missed. What can be worth noticing though is the original score of the film composed by Ryan Shore! The Italian backdrop is worth noticing, but the film is very predictable.
