Right from lavish weddings such as
Kate Middleton to Prince William, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal, Lady Diana Spencer to Prince Charles; Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant’ lavish wedding is next to join the bandwagon of the most expensive weddings in the world!

While the wedding venue was Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai some of the pre-wedding festivities hosted tech billionaires Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates, Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner.

At an estimated amount of USD 1 billion +, the Ambani’s have roped in every possible superstar right from Rihanna (who was on an 8-year hiatus), Justin Bieber, Mark Zuckerberg and Karlie Kloss, Gautam Adani, Tony Blair and Cherie Blair, Karlie Kloss, Shah Rukh Khan, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and actor Nick Jonas, Disha Patani, Suhana Khan, John Cena and Bill Gates (out of the nearly 2000-strong guest list. Besides this Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Andhra Pradesh CM N Chandrababu Naidu, Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath and Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin were all sent invitations to the wedding.

Preparations for the massive wedding were done by a special team comprising his mother Nita Ambani and Indian designer, Manish Malhotra. Right from going to the extent of upgrading the Jamnagar airport for their VVIP guests as well as securing an “International” status for private jets to land to the bride there was nothing ‘off bounds’ for this party planning committee.

The extravagant charm of this wedding was that the guests were taken to locations in Roll Royce’s that served nearly 700 different types of dishes, that were hosted in specially-designed couture tents.

To usher in the wedding, there was a 134-day-long celebration for the pre-wedding festivities.

This included a USD 900 million Mediterranean cruise for 1200+ guests, a raging party in London’s Stokes Estate, and performances by Andrea Bocelli, Justin Bieber, David Guetta, The Backstreet Boys, and Katy Perry that were peppered in between. Besides this, there was also the ‘calm-down’ singer Rema who also came and was even paid 25 Crore to perform just 1 song! The pre-wedding ceremonies also included a three-day pre-wedding celebration in March in the family’s refinery township of Jamnagar in Gujarat.

In June, the Ambanis took their guests on a luxury cruise, with stopovers in Rome, Portofino, Genoa and Cannes.  The Backstreet Boys, singer Katy Perry and Andrea Bocelli performed during the event.

The final date of the nuptial ceremony was July 12th the whole world has been witnessing this event with bated breath, with its EXORBITANT price and has drawn the world to a standstill.

On July 13, guests will attend Shubh Aashirwad and the wedding reception or ‘Mangal Utsav’ is scheduled for July 14.

The star-studded wedding had some of the finest Bollywood actors such as Ranbir-Alia, Vicky-Katrina, Deepika-Ranveer, Shahid-Mira, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and even the Kardashian sisters — Kim and Khloe Actor John Cena and Despacito singer Luis Rodriguez all attended the wedding.
