On a Chilly November morning, as the sun’s golden hues spilt into the cosy living room, Mini, Bunty, Babli and Prince Goldie were sprawled out across the living room floor, their tails flicking with restlessness. Of course, Mini, the wisest in the group, was thinking of something, “We’ve got a mystery to solve!” her green eyes sparkling as she meowed this.

Prince Goldie, the golden-coloured cat who loved food, perked up; “Does this by chance involve any food? Babli, the unmistakable Charlie Chaplin, stretched out lazily. “Food being counted or not. Count Me in! I’m getting tired of chasing shadows!”  Bunty, known for her flair for drama, comical personality and confidence, looked at Mini as if she was challenging her. “Go on, my Mini – I suppose you already have an idea in mind.

It was Mini who had overheard her humans talking about a missing silver bell, which made the most melodious sound. Their human loved the sound of it very much. Mini had already made up her mind that they would find this particular bell and return it to their owner.

These four felines set out on their mission and decided to begin in the kitchen. Although they were usually not allowed in this room, they sneaked in when their human was not looking. “Quick, we don’t have too much time here, Mini authoritatively chimed.  Prince Goldie of course got distracted by a loaf of bread on the counter. “Focus, Prince Goldie Mini chided, tugging his tail gently.

Babli pounced on a shadow in the corner. “I think it’s here. Oh wait, it’s just a bug! Bunty examined the top shelf in the kitchen with an air of sophistication. “I suspect that it could have been placed here .”

However, as soon as she leapt up to the top shelf she was disappointed to only find a bottle of catnip.

The search continued, and Babli and Bunty started knocking down bottles in the kitchen. Mini, who became frustrated  but was very determined, gently slapped them both with her paw and screeched, “Is this how we do jobs, guys?”

The four cats sauntered into the bedroom, where Prince Goldie quickly jumped on the dresser. He knocked some items off the table before he reached the corner of the table. With just one single, commanding meow, he attempted to flick the bell from the corner onto the bed. Mini, who was surprised, caught the bell midway and landed on all four paws.

In shock, the four felines exchanged looks with each other and meowed loudly at one another. “This is our quick success which fortunately didn’t take much time to solve”

When they returned the bell to their human, they were rewarded with a feast of tuna and warm milk. “Teamwork always wins” Mini purred. From that day forward, they became the official Mystery Solvers of the House. They looked forward to their next adventure! What a day it was as the four felines gathered under the bed and fell asleep!
