“Ninety percent of what you’re saying isn’t coming out of your mouth.” So says the Date Doctor – Alex “Hitch” Hitchens (Will Smith). “You communicate with your body language, your posture, your mood, your attitude about yourself. Nothing a guy can say will impress a woman nearly as much as the nonverbal messages she receives. So stand up straight, Fat Albert, and stop slumping around as if your tummy can be hidden in the shadows.”

Directed by Andy Tennant who is known for his films such as Sweet Home Alabama, Fools Rush In and Ever After: A Cinderella Story; Will Smith,  Eva Mendes, Kevin James, and Amber Valletta star in the lead of the movie Hitch.

Produced by Will Smith, James Lassiter and Teddy Zee this film is written by Kevin Bisch; under the production companies Columbia Pictures and Overbrook Entertainment.

A typical romantic comedy. The film traces the story of a professional “date doctor” who makes a living teaching men how to woo women. Will Smith has done a fabulous job enacting the date doctor – Alex Hitchens with his witty and charismatic charm.

In the cutthroat world of New York where fates are decided in an instant, Hitch guides a new client – accountant Albert (Kevin James) to woo the woman of his dreams (the rich, powerful and beautiful Allegra –Amber Valletta). However, simultaneously Hitch’s love life is also in shambles. He happens to meet a smart and cynical lady who writes for a gossip column, Sara (Eva Mendes) whom he falls in love with.

As Albert’s love life is seen on a roller coaster as he is given some class, the test of love is also on Hitch. A delightful movie to watch; there are certainly some love lessons to also learn through the film!
