Before you meet someone, is there anything you notice about him or her – before his or her looks? It’s Perfume or Cologne.  This word ‘perfume’ actually from the Latin word ‘per fumum’ which means humarade or incense.

What crosses your mind … is it Marc Jacobs Fragrances Daisy Eau So Fresh, Tom Ford Black OrchidChanel Coco Mademoiselle Eau De ParfumBurberry Eau De ParfumBvlgari Eau Parfumee Au The BlancVictoria’s Secret Bombshell Eau De ParfumLouis Vuitton Le Jour Se Lève Eau De ParfumThe Body Shop White Musk Eau De Toilette or something else (for women)?

For men, is it Raw Chemistry’s Pheromones Men’s Cologne, Creed Aventus Men’s Cologne, Chanel Allure Homme Sport Men’s Cologne, Nautica Blue Eau de Toilette, L’OCCITANE– EN PROVENCE: Eau Des Baux For Men,Murcielago Frangances Colt Ford or Kenneth Cole Black
Or, maybe you would be aware of Tom Ford Vanille Fatale Eau de Parfum, Yves Saint Laurent Black Opium Hair Mist, John Varvatos Artisan Pure.
Elizabeth and James Amethyst Eau de Perfume,Aura Mugler Eau de Parfum or Jo Malone Honey & Crocus Cologne.?
All these perfumes and colognes use as a scent of temptation and are blended with components that target both men’s and women’s sexual and attraction receptors. Who doesn’t want to feel cool, smell cool and be the eye of attention?
Even in Sumaria, which was one of the most complex and advanced civilizations in the world at that point of time; they were one of the first people who developed perfumes and ointments.

Egypt was soon a country to borrow this ‘cosmetic idea’ from Sumaria and it started with the priests who filled their prayers with perfumes; which they prepared themselves and making use of very strong fragrances that in fact favoured the entire room: galbanum, lahdan frankincense, myrrh, rosemary and resin.

Someone that is so magical and long lasting about his or her personality (magically), which of course has nothing to do with you!
It’s this sense of smell, of course; what we cannot touch and it will always remain a mystery. It’s a deep connection to our hypothalamus, the sense of aromas – to the sense of images and memories and what we may or may not like to produce about it!
It’s our sense of smell, which is linked to our memory, and it has the ability to alter the way we feel!
These scents have the strong ability to pull people, moods and emotions backward, forwards and in any direction possible. They influence our brain chemistry and after all they are such volatile chemical components having molecular weights measure of molecular weight or mass.
One hydrogen atom has mass of 1 Da. Proteins and other macromolecule molecular weights are usually measured in kDa or kD (kilodaltons)

Florence & Venice were the capitals of perfume, but while Venice is known to have produced the first bottles of blown glass, it has grown a lot over time since the Middle Ages and even before that.
Did you know in the tomb of Pharaoh Tutankhamun, there were found over three thousand boats of fragrances, which still retained their smell despite having remained buried for more than 30 centuries!
However, the Arabs were able to assimilate and perfect their knowledge of cultures, which preceded them. They used stills to stills to distill the alcohol as support of these essences as they refined different perfumes such as such as civet, musk and water of Roses (Middle Ages)
There are many different types of perfumes and many people get confused. Some of the basic types
1)    Parfum
2)    Eau de Parfum
3)    Eau de Toilette
4)    Eau de Cologne
So what do you feel are the best benefits of perfume?
·      Is it to boost your confidence?
·      To enhance your mood?
·      Make you feel attractive?
·      To trigger memories?
·      To boost your health?
·      For aromatherapy?
We would love to hear back from you!
